Celebration for Change
Filling Hearts with Hope at Celebration for Change!
Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge hosted its sixth annual Celebration for Change on Tuesday, May 7 at the Manship Theatre. A reception was held followed by a program with speakers including VOAGBR President and CEO Jane Shank and board members Sara Downing, Virginia Pearson, Jim Kaiser, and Juliet Spencer. Attendees included other board members, major donors and supporters from around the community. Guests enjoyed a night in celebration of the positive changes made in South Louisiana by Volunteers of America and learned how their support can change the lives of many.
This year’s video, “Hearts of Hope,” features Shannon, a loving mother who selflessly adopted three special needs children and gave them a second chance at being part of a supportive family with the help of Volunteers of America. “Hearts of Hope” also features a young mom, Vivian, who was saved from homelessness and is now able to support her young brother and child with the help of our services.
Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge would not be able to change lives positively without the support of our donors. Celebration For Change is dedicated to these successes and the people involved in affecting these lives so graciously.
