Hope Under the Tree- Lake Charles Area
Volunteering and helping others this Christmas
is as easy as A-B-C!
Adopt a Client
Many of our clients have no family and no financial resources. Brighten someone’s Christmas by adopting a client. We have lists of men, women and children of all ages and the items they want or need. You get to be just like old Santa himself without dressing up.
Bake for our Christmas Party
Our client Christmas party is on December 15th, and we need lots of goodies to make it special. Supply a tray of cookies, cakes or other delights to help make it a heartwarming event. This can be done offsite with delivery to the day program.
Cook and Serve
A great volunteer group activity for a church, office or organization is to provide a meal to the clients who attend the CHOICES day program for adults with a mental illness. You can bring in food, cook it in our kitchen and serve it to our clients as a way of giving back to those who are less fortunate.

• Put together a food box of non-perishable food items for a person or family in need.

• Use your craft skills to make Christmas cards for our elderly clients or clients with disabilities.
