Since its founding, Volunteers of America has always understood the importance of providing support to all members of our community. Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge serves individuals with disabilities in the Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake Charles areas.
Volunteers of America has offered mental health and developmental disability services in Baton Rouge since the 1970s and began offering services in Acadiana in 1989. Through its various programs for people with disabilities, Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge seeks to help the people we serve make informed life-choices and acquire daily living skills. Programs include Supported Independent Living, Supported Family Living, Mental Health Support Services, Residential Services and Supportive Housing, Assertive Community Treatment, Vocational Services, and Day Treatment Services.
