Janet Pace

Janet Pace has served as Volunteers of America Greater Baton Rouge's President and CEO since Dec 1, 2015. Before coming to Volunteers of America, Janet was already a respected veteran nonprofit executive in the Baton Rouge community. She most recently served as the executive director of the Foundation for East Baton Rouge School System. Prior to that role, she held two positions with the Louisiana Office of the Lt. Governor – executive director of the Volunteer Louisiana Commission and director of volunteer outreach for the Louisiana Serve Commission. Janet also served as President and CEO of Volunteer! Baton Rouge, during which time the organization was named 2005 Volunteer Center of the Year by Points of Light Foundation.

In addition to her professional achievements, Janet has been an active elected official and volunteer in the Baton Rouge community. She served as an East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member from 2002 to 2005 and served as a board member for Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge and for Volunteers in Public Schools. Janet is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Her other current civic involvements include The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, Basenji Rescue and Transport, and Broadmoor Baptist Church.

Janet received bachelor's degrees in journalism and political science from Southern Methodist University, where she graduated cum laude, and holds a Master of Public Administration from Louisiana State University.
