VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS COVID-19 UPDATE

The health and well-being of our residents is our top priority and their interaction with the general public. We are concerned about the spread of the novel coronavirus as the people we serve are typically more vulnerable to the virus and the disease it causes, COVID-19. Because the coronavirus is spreading quickly, we have decided to suspend volunteer activities throughout our programs (Bingo, crafts, and music groups) as a precaution. We are staying abreast of the latest developments about coronavirus.

We are also suspending any volunteer projects that require a volunteer to prepare home-made treats or snacks to be dropped off and served to our consumers. This includes Sundaes on Sunday, Bake a Sweet treat and Snack bag projects. See below for more information:

Our Day Programs serve adults with a mental illness, and they enjoy learning new things. Come share your skill with them.

Set Up A Recycling Program

We need someone to establish a paper recycling program and haul off materials to the city of Lake Charles Green Team Mobiles.

(Temporarily Suspended) - Make and Serve Lunch

Our Day Programs serve adults with a mental illness. This project is located on Oak Park Boulevard in Lake Charles. This is a wonderful group opportunity for a company or organization looking for a day of service project.

Host A Household Item Drive

Host a personal hygiene, canned food or toilet paper drive. Many of our programs provide these items to their clients - individuals and families that would not otherwise have the resources to purchase them.

Volunteers are needed to record events that occur and help create a video to highlight the programs provided to the community.
